RIVER AYEYARWADDY (IRRAWADDY)

The 1350-miles long Ayeyarwaddy River is still the main link from north to south of the country. It originates in the extreme north, where the snowy Himalayas give way to extensive plains. As with all great rivers of the world, it starts gently, then gathers power asmany smaller rivers feed into it. By the time it fl ows past thecenturies-old city of Mandalay, the waters have carved a wide swath in the countryside.

CUISINE

Our Chef will make delicious European and Asian dishes with fresh ingredients, many sourced directly from the villages along the river. A selection of fine wines is also  available on board.
